Sundown

One night when the sun
Was both yellow and red
I kept thinking about
Our late summer nights
By the sea where we had
A boat and a shed
Where the summers were long
Filled with music and song.
We don´t go there no more
We don´t seem to have time
The boat we have sold
And soon we´ll grow old.
Why don´t we just go there
And walk side by side
Listening once more
To the evening tide?
The days keep flying
Away with the wind
A feeling is dying
Which lived within
Let´s enjoy it again
The sea´s waiting for us
We can hitchhike once more
Or we´ll just take a bus.
Now the sundown is dark
In the West, old pal
But my heart keeps alive
The little red spark
Which could turn into flames
If we play the old games
Let´s not wait
Until it´s too late.
